Banedanmark offers and allocates train paths to operators wishing to operate in the Danish rail network.
A ‘train paths' is capacity on the rail network, or a ‘window' for a given line in a given period of time. This system requires that the train service operator can operate with a certain minimum speed capacity/transit time. A timetable illustrates the attributes of each individual train path, and, where applicable, its links with other train paths.
