On-track safety
The course “On-track safety” is for everyone who:
- Moves around on and within 4 metres of railway tracks with traffic, where there is normally no public access.
- Works in and within 4 metres of railway tracks with traffic.
There are no health requirements, other than that you should have normal vision, colour vision and sense of hearing.
After completing the course, you’ll receive a pass that you can present every time you move about or work on the track.
Issuing passes
The passes that Banedanmark issues are printed with the card owner’s name, picture and employee number, as well as a unique QR code.
SR supervisors and SR coordinators can scan the QR code on the employee passes using the Banedanmark Qualifications app to verify that the card owner has valid security and technical qualifications recorded directly in Banedanmark’s database. Only qualifications obtained through Banedanmark courses are shown in the app.
After completing the course “Pas på, på banen”, you will be issued with your own pass, which you must present every time you work on or are near busy tracks. When you later acquire new qualifications, when existing qualifications expire or are renewed, or you change employers, these will automatically appear when the card is scanned, as soon as they have been registered or updated in Banedanmark’s database.
You can read more about passes and the issuing of them in the handbook for “Pas på, på banen”.
